TABULATED RESULTS

of the Gay Pride nudity poll

So far, almost 400 Internet citizens have voted their opinion of various amounts of nudity in the context of a political demonstration like a Pride march or festival.

Except where noted, it was a given that the nudity took place:

We have rearranged the questions in the order of Acceptability

Some interesting patterns emerged!

Demographic information

This was designed to help us understand patterns in the results. It will not be used to stereotype group responses.

Gender

Not surprisingly, the people answering the survey were overwhelmingly male -- 92%.

Ethnicity

75% of the sample was White/Caucasian.

Attractions to men and women

9% were mostly attracted to women; an additional 22% had "some" such attraction.

Almost 28% of the sample left the "attraction to women" question blank. The layout of the question may have suggested to them that if they answered "Yes" to the "attraction to men" question, a lack of attraction to women would be implied.

84% of the sample was attracted mostly to men; an additional 9% had "some" such attraction.

Age

Most respondents were in their 30s and 40s. Median age was 37.5.

Employment

Not surprisingly, the large majority of the sample had full-time white-collar employment (59%).

Educational level

Almost 2/3 of the sample had college or graduate degrees.
