Here you can listen to brief snippets of the soundtrack -- by special arrangement with the producers of the show. Once you hear how wonderful these songs are, of course you'll want to buy the CD.

Each sample is almost indistinguishable from the CD original, except for some softness in the s's and t's, and a slightly more hollow sound throughout.

If you want to hear an uncompressed version -- which more closely approximates the actual high-quality CD recording -- this is available for one track by clicking on the "uncompressed" link for song #3. The sound is crystal-clear (although of course on the CD it's even better). (If your connection is anything slower than a cable modem, don't bother -- the extra quality just isn't worth it.)

NOTE: The very original Los Angeles cast recording is no longer available. However, all except one of those songs -- still sung by the LA cast! -- appear on the new (12/2000) pressing now available. Two new songs (sung by the New York cast) are on this new CD. Excerpts of those two songs are here.
