Just days after authorities in Puerto Rico tried
to shut down their new local production of Naked
Boys Singing!, a Superior Court judge in San Juan
issued an order that ensured that the clothes will
come off and the show will go on.
On 1 August, the Associated Press reported that
the theater contracted to stage the show got cold
feet after its Board of Directors saw just the
first act of the innocent -- but very naked --
show. But Spanish-language daily papers reported on
6 or 7 August that the local judge had overturned
this decision, and that performances must be
permitted.

In other news, the Naked Boys Singing!
juggernaut continues, as a Vancouver production
obtained authorization from the show's producers to
promote that cast to the status of the official
national touring company of the show (which had
previously been licensed only in local
productions). That touring company will debut in
San Diego in October. We'll be there!
