'Piselli Artistici'

That's Italian for...

Artistic Peas

but it seems to be pictures of...

Something Else?!??

1999 Mini-Calendar

For Sale Here

Well, someone finally did it -- thank God for the Italians!

They got out their cameras and went around the world (well, at least around Italy and possibly Europe) and took photos of the crotches of male statues. Then they took these photos and printed them on ultra-high quality, coated paper stock and ran off a few thousand copies in calendar form.

The result is a wonderully well-produced calendar of

artistic peas!!!!!!!!

No expense was spared! The photos are in color! Both sides of the paper are printed! The quality of the reproduction is superb! It's a calendar you'd be proud to show off in your home or office! Even brag about to your mother -- if you have a liberal mother! Especially if she likes vegetable gardening!!

Peas? Peas?? Those photos don't look like peas; they look like pen ises. What's going on here?

This question can be answered, of course, on the Internet. Just hop on over to Alta Vista's translation page and type "Piselli artistici" into the box -- that's the name of the calendar as it appears, in Italian, on its cover. Choose "Italian to English" from the pop-up menu and then click on Translate. Here's the result:

Alta Vista translation page

See? That proves it. "Piselli artistici" means "Artistic peas." Any questions?

Thanks to my friend Joe for posing for the above photo. See more of him here.
Yes, he does get bigger than this. Trust me.
