THE EFFECT: "Inseparable Friends"

Two naked volunteers join the magician on stage.

Each volunteer's wrists are tied together with a length of rope -- but the ropes are intertwined.

They have to separate themselves WITHOUT slipping the rope off their wrists and WITHOUT untying the knots.

Eventually, they fail. The magician steps up and, with just a moment's fiddling, releases the volunteers without untying the knots!
