This is a big production number -- "Comedy Tonight" from the musical "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum". Someone cut their budget in half, so everyone had to make do with half a costume. (Grin!) Elaborately rehearsed, it opened the show and brought the house down.

If you know the lyrics, you'll understand that the guy in the silver heels (last two in the next row) is illustrating the principle of doing "something specific"...! Sorry we have to bleep out the "thing" itself (since there is no adult verification on this thumbnail page). Members can see the real thing, which is simulated but looks quite real, frankly!

punch line of the singer
with the towel was...
But it was hilarious!

Shel Silverstein storytelling
This skit involved two high school guys who didn't worry about getting naked in the showers -- and two more who did (not shown).

This is Bob, in the
role of Mrs. John
Wayne Bobbitt,
pulling successively
more outrageous
items out of her
clothing.

Ouch!

One of the highlights each year is the
Deaf Chorus. It's difficult to explain why, but
it is very moving to see 20 or 30 men -- deaf
and hearing -- signing in unison while a song
is played. They're directed by Mark, a member
of the GNI board, who is himself deaf.
And now we come to an important question: Do you accept Cheez-Its as your personal snack-food savior?

Sister does. Sister does indeed! Get down on your knees now and praise the savior -- praise Cheez-Its!

NOTE: The Cheez-Its skit was intended to satirize revival meetings and their excesses -- not religion itself.
