Notes to tourists: In these photos, you'll see Stud warming up his bottom during a workshop on erotic photography. (The two photos above were taken during that session, too.) He seems to be in control, and to a large extent he is -- but he's also responding to the cues given him by the bottom.

Being a top doesn't just mean inserting. As you can see from the photos below, it means being the one who "does" things. He tweaks the bottom's nipples. He turns the bottom around. He grabs the bottom's hips and puts them in the best position. The bottom is not passive during all this; he's subtly communicating how things are going, and the top is picking up his signals. In a very real sense, the bottom is "in control". The bottom invites; the top takes the invitation. Everything is consensual.
