Week 9

I met Eduardo at a gay nudist gathering in early 1999. Proud of his Mexican heritage, he has striking dark features, buns that won't quit (in any sense of the word), an incredibly beautiful dick, and a very thoughtful mind. Of course, living in a border state in the U.S., it's very easy to acquire the stereotype of the "hunky Latino" -- and thus come to expect the dark features, the buns, and the dick. But the mind? Let me begin with the first Dick of the Week question, which is: So just how big IS your dick, anyway?

It's 7 inches long.

And how big around?

[He holds up his fingers.] About four and a half around. It's rather thin.

So when you jerk off, do your fingers touch? Or do they overlap?

My technique keeps them separate, like this. [He holds his fingers and thumb so that they form a flattened C shape.] If I did put them around, they would touch. But I masturbate like this, so there is this space [between them].

Anyone who meets you will instantly hear that you speak English very well, you understand English very well, but you have a modest accent. Where did you grow up?

In Mexico City.

Tell me a little about your family.

We are 11 children, it's a very liberal family, gay sex is acceptable, childhood sex play is acceptable. My father and grandfather are allowed to have a lover, because my mother and grandmother want to put out just the sex they want to have. It's a very happy family, understanding all the possibilities of how 11 children could be -- not to make them all the same kind of children -- they are very accepting of how each of us is different. So I was liberated so I could do whatever I wanted to do.

At one time or another growing up, I had sex or sex play with one of my brothers and two of my sisters. My brother loved to play with my backsection, and the same thing my sisters. They used to play by putting a little dolphin inside me, or a little whale, or Q-tips. From an early age, I was playing physician ["playing doctor"] and a Q-tip was inserted. And I always used to get the suppositories from the family physician. Was there something sexual about this or was it just medical?

Just medical, but it was sexual in my mind. I would make big fuss as if it was really a big deal, as if it was really hurtful, but it was more of a show, an exhibition for me. To them it was medical, and they thought "he's nervous, we need to calm him."

So if there had been someone secretly in the room watching, they would not see any sex going on.

Right.

But sometimes it felt sexy to you.

Right. My father was not gay. I wanted to have sex with him, but he simply replied, I am not homosexual, Eduardo, and I had to understand that. Accept that I could not force my father to have sex with me. I also had interest in my grandfather who replied in the same way: "I am not homosexual."

But you did have sex with your brother?

One brother -- the oldest brother -- was the best of all, so I had great sex with him.

How much older was he?

7 years older.

Are you attracted to older men now?

Yes.

What age is best for you?

Actually any age -- but the point is sexual maturity, sexually not inhibited, and the maturity of knowing what they like -- whatever it is. I like that they are mature and know what they like and usually what turns them on. The young guys are experimenting a lot and they don't quite know what they want. [The advantage of older men,] more than anything, is that they are free, more liberal, and know what they want.

Someone told me that bottoms are very sought-after in Mexico because they'll have sex with you, but they are not otherwise respected. Was that true for you growing up?

Not at all. I was, as a bottom, very desired. I would be walking on the streets and get the flattery of 3, 4, 5 cars a day offering me a ride at age 12. At age 16 I accepted my first ride and it was certainly a sexual encounter. Being with these tops I was realizing that we are each our own kind of human -- one has to be on top and one on bottom no matter what we do. There is no problem, nothing better or worse, with any particular role -- it's just that one likes to suck and the other likes to get sucked. Not a problem at all, but you need to know what you like. If you like to experiment that's OK, too, just say you want to try a lot of things. But to not know what you want -- that would be a turnoff to many people.
