Larry's First Time:

Dancing Naked at the PANG Nude Gathering

, I'm sitting here with Larry, whom I met here at the East Coast PANG gathering just yesterday. He told me he had scarcely danced nude before the dance last night, so I thought I'd interview him about it. We found a quiet place in a cabin and sat on adjacent beds.

When was the first time time you danced naked?

At a nude party in South Carolina. Our gay naked group threw a party and we ended up downstairs at a guy's house, and they were playing good disco music, and so everybody couldn't sit still and they started dancing naked. It was great!

How many people danced?

Oh gosh, probably 25 or 30.

How long did the dancing last?

About three songs -- about 9 or 10 minutes total.

Why did it stop?

People started getting tired [he laughs].

hat happened after?

We played Twister.

How did that turn out?

It was fun [he smiles broadly]! The person calling out the moves started sabotaging where the arrow ended on the spin dial to make thing more interesting.

Did you twist?

Yes I did.

How did that feel?

It was kind of exciting, being up in front of everybody and twisting. It lasted for about 5 minutes until one of us lost their hand and fell to the floor and took everybody with him.

oing back to the dancing, how did the dancing feel at the time?

It was nice. Very comfortable. Lot of people were dancing so you didn't feel like you were putting on a show with everybody watching.

So you would have been more nervous if the ratio of watchers to dancers was different?

Yes. I would probably have been more hesitant to dance.

hen was the next time?

Here at this gathering, last night.

How did THAT feel?

A little more awkward. There were about ten people on the dance floor and four people watching, so it was a little awkward. But not TOO awkward.

How did it feel physically?

It was nice. [He thinks.] You could move like you wanted to move without the restriction of clothing. I would probably have enjoyed it more because my feet were tired. I danced for about 10 minutes, I think.

I should point out you've been barefoot most of the time here.

At that point my partner was getting too hot, so we stepped outside.

ive me an example of the kind of move you'd make that would feel freer naked than clothed.

[He thinks.] That's a hard one to answer... All of you is moving instead of just your arms and legs.

When you say "all of you," are you being polite and referring to your dick?

Yeah, my dick and balls swing around -- and it was nice that they weren't restricted.

Did they do that at your club's dance?

Yeah. It was nice watching everybody else, too -- because while you're dancing you're looking at everybody else and it's nice to see them...

hat did you like watching about them?

Their movements. The motion of their bodies. The way things swung free. It seemed like they were less inhibited.

You mean their dicks swung free?

Um hum, yeah. [He hugs the pillow next to him on the bed.]

once had a guy tell me that when he danced nude for the first time, he noticed that he was conscious of how his hips would move his dick and balls back and forth. He was dancing "with" his dick like you would dance with your arms. Were you conscious of that?

Yeah, but it really didn't make a difference.

Were you conscious of who was looking at you?

Yes. I pretty much danced the way I always dance, except I didn't have any clothes on, and if guys enjoyed watching, then that's fine. I had a partner to dance with; I don't know if I could do it without a partner. I don't think I'd want to do it without one.

Why not?

Then it would seem like it was putting on a show for an audience, and I'm not comfortable doing that.

So you are not a so-called "classic exhibitionist."

No. Conservative.

o what do you like about being naked?

The freedom of not having clothes on, and the feeling of fresh air on your skin is great, and swimming in the pool is good. Feeling the water swirl around you is a nice feeling.

How about sweat? People sometimes worry about if they'll throw off beads of sweat if they dance naked.

That doesn't bother me. I don't usually sweat that easily; it has to be really hot for me to sweat, and usually the dancing areas have pretty good airflow just from the other people moving causing air movement. My partner last night was sweating across his forehead, so we quit.

He's quite a bit heavier than you?

Right.

So will you be dancing naked in the future?

Yes [he smiles].

How come?

Because it's not going to be a new activity for me. I know I'll enjoy it. I'll admit I was uncomfortable the first time, but after the first couple of minutes it seemed comfortable.

Um huh. I am.

What's making you comfortable?

I'm tired [he smiles and laughs -- see photo, in which his eyes are half closed] and since I've met you I've been comfortable with you. Usually when you meet a new person you can tell whether you're going to be comfortable with them or not, and I got that feeling when I met you. This was yesterday at the pool [when he caught my eye and we said hello], and then running into you occasionally during the day -- and then today.

Now be honest with me, is there a reason why you 're lying face down in front of me?

No. It's easier to answer the questions.

Well, I have to believe you because you DO look very tired. But it makes your buns look VERY inviting, I have to admit!

[He laughs.]

nything else you want to say about dancing naked?

If you've never done it before you should give it a try. It doesn't hurt anything? If you don't do it because you don't have the guts to do it, you're missing out on some fun!
