Castro
Street Faire,
eally,
guys can decide to dance naked for high art, for low commerce, and
for every reason in between. Sometimes they do it on the spur of the
moment, just because it's a safe space and it's fun! Recently, I
received an e-mail from Gary
Miller, in
Sacramento, who used my Dancer
Seen Submission
Form to tell me
about a dancer he saw, in public, in San Francisco. It was during the
annual Castro Street Faire. Here's what happened:
It was one of those situations where I was in the right place at the right time. He and a buddy were dressed in a sorta Hawaiian outfit .... When I arrived on the scene, he was in the middle of a circle. He didn't seem drunk, but just enjoyed the day. The guys sitting around him began to egg him on to show his stuff, so he obliged. Soon he put his wrap [back on] and went on enjoying the faire.
Awww, too bad he didn't stay naked the whole time, eh? Oh well, maybe next year. Maybe if you're there to egg him on, next year someone will!
Here are some of the photos my letter-writer took. Notice how the dancer works the crowd, being sure he's got a supportive circle of guys around him who are sticking around because, hey, no one knows if he'll really go all the way! Will he or won't he? Click on a picture to find out!
It helps if
you first start by wearing a tight sarong (wrap) that shows
a suggestive bulge in front.
Then tease
everyone with a quick peek of your buns. Make sure there are
no cops around, and then...
Whirl around
quickly and give everyone a flash!
If everyone
appreciates your show, then take the next step...
...hoist your
wrap high over your head, so that even the fellows in the
back row can tell that you ain't got nothing covering you
up!
A little hip
action to drive the boyz wild...
Spin around
now, so that everyone has a good look...
Then smile
and bare it all for the photographers. Hold still! Is this
your best side? Kiddo, with a body like that and the courage
you've got, all your sides are just great!
Thank you thank you THANK YOU to Gary Miller, who took these photos!
