Gathering
Photos I took myself
The camp is a beautiful facility in a gorgeous part of the world. The weather is fabulous -- you can count on it -- the guys were wonderful, and new traditions were established and tons of new friendships formed.

The "White House" -- camp office and nerve center of the Gathering. |

These modern motel-like units were the favorites of those who could afford the $145 upgrade fee. |
Here's the courtyard of those units during the day... |
... and at night. |
Yes they had a swimming pool -- a big one. Heated, too! |
The rental truck is unloading the soda pop which everyone drank with lust -- given the dry and hot conditions. |
These army-like tent cabins were not used for our Gathering. They approximately double the camp capacity, but they're not heated. We stuck with the fully enclosed wooden cabins for registrants. We got photos of those cabins, but they're not ready yet. |

Food was pretty good, given the circumstances. It was served in four lines at rush times, making eating a pleasure and shortening the wait. |
Two lovely volunteers pour ice into the bins holding the beer kegs. This alcohol was provided by a generous, party-oriented camper -- not the campground or the Gathering budget. |
The tall stack of boxed Almaden wine, also provided by generous San Diego party boys. |

There
are two waterfalls on camp property (dry in 1999 and
2000).
