I wished some of the bystanders would take their clothes off -- but they didn't. Sigh.

Let me repeat: someone's appearance in any of these photos does not constitute evidence of their sexual orientation -- or even whether they're a nudist! These are just people I saw in the city.

Another bystander seems happy to see us. But what's he thinking?

No one knows. Seems happy, though!

The tension rises. It's 7:54. Will all these people actually strip?

The first brave ones take off their shirts! Yesss!

This is the first fellow to get totally nude. Right on, brother, right on!

Another guy goes all the way.

You can tell he registered early because his number is only 4 digits long -- 8011.

The next shot we took of number 8011 had no shorts interfering with the view. See it on page 5.

Hmmm... this handsome fellow seems to be stripping. Will he go all the way?

Our attention is momentarily distracted by a crowd trying hard to win a costume award from Southwest Airlines.

And then... a shot rings out! I check my watch. It says 8:00:00 exactly.
