On this page (and the next three) are photos of the runners preparing to run, the onlookers, etc. No pen ises are visible, but the pictures are entertaining, anyway.

Everyone took BART to the start of the race in downtown San Francisco.

Needless to say, someone's appearance in any of these photos does not constitute evidence of their sexual orientation -- or even whether they're a nudist! These are just people I saw in the city.

The evidence was everywhere -- running does get rid of that protruding tummy!

Many of the people running (or more likely, walking) wore costumes which were erotic and/or weird, but not nude.

Some of the runners who will be nude wear easy-to-toss bags before the race begins.

These have to be disposed of carefully. They're very slippery to step on, so they're no longer recommended.

This woman has a friend applying a little body paint before we head off to the starting point.

Body stockings -- some with (ahem) interesting appendages -- are a common strategy for those who don't want to actually get nude.
The woman on the left certainly matched the body stocking to her skin tone perfectly, eh?

The soon-to-be-nude crowd walks to the starting area. The fluorescent yellow-green caps make it easy to stay together.

We anxiously await the start of the race at 8 AM.
