Talent Shows

Twice this week, some of the most talented guys in the camp -- as well as a few others! -- got together to put on a show. Tuesday night was for those who wanted to get known as a result of their performance; Saturday was for those who arrived late or needed time to practice. And boy, were we impressed this year!

We took pictures both during the performances and during the undress rehearsals, so clothes and other details vary. Some photos are poor quality due to flash failure.

6 cowboy dancers

These cowboys are doing a cha-cha in Talent Show #1. Those are my buns on the far right.

We've got three pictures of the ballet parody from Show #2's rehearsal. Here "little" Bob is getting to lift his taller, heavier partner.

Ready to lift

Lifted

Now he's lifted! And staggering around the stage!

Later in the act, poor little Bob got "kicked" by his partner.

Post-kicking

Stepping out of tutu

Moving now from rehearsal to performance, the danceuse daintily removes part of her costume.

Curtain call

The diva takes a bow with her two principal dancers.

And receives flowers from an adoring fan!

Nude Danny snapping photo

Nude Danny pretends to photograph a rock star during the musical number.

Below left, he rehearses holding a reflector so that his patroness will get the best light for the paparazzi.

And here she is!

"Photograph me!"
"Photograph me!"
She practically screams...

'Photograph me!'

Not a lady squaredancing

The square dancers got up a routine for the show, too -- with costumes, no less! That's caller John on the right.

Nuthin' pretentious about this act. Just a nice fellow doing a pretty good imitation of a famous Shel Silverstein comedy routine.

'Shel' undressed like a hick

All lined up

A salute to handsome naked men -- whose organizer (from Baltimore) swears this is the last year!

This fellow was not only gorgeous, he played the piano improv and practically got a standing ovation! He was selling copies of his piano CD at the crafts fair.

Above, three scenes from a sign-language "hand-synch" to the classic disco hit Ring My Bell.

And last but not least, our mistress of ceremonies, the schoolmarm from hell!

We also had a very famous co-hostess, internationally known, but she prefers to remain anonymous. Too bad you weren't there!
